Adoption 101

Adoption 101 is a course for adoptees from adoptees. The class not only helps prepare adoptees for the problems they will face, but it also connects adoptees from all around the world. In addition to teaching valuable lessons they will benefit from for the rest of their lives, the course is also a safe, and accepting environment for sharing and hearing each others’ stories. Through the lessons and coursework, adoptees will gain new found confidence in themselves, and in their ability to face adversity.  Adoption 101 will educate as well as create new friendships and bonds that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Adoption 101’s staff is comprised of adoptees and families, eager to share their stories, and help others on their journeys. We believe it is easy to learn from others with the same experiences. There is no substitute for peer support. 

 

 

 

Once enrolled in the course, students will be sent a username and password for the 

Adoptee 101 chat room. There they can share anything from their personal adoption experiences to what they are doing or eating that day. The chat room is meant to be a safe spot for adoptees to talk and stay connected, strengthening and creating the bonds that will last all their lives.
